A Big Thank You
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the companies based here at Ransom Wood who have supported the Christmas Shoebox Appeal this year.
Earlier this year we decided in the Estates office that we would each try to fill a shoebox or two to give a gift to a local homeless person on Christmas Day. We then decided to ask all of you if you would like to join us as we felt it was a really worthwhile cause.
We were really pleased with the response as we have managed to collect an amazing 70 boxes between us all which will be distributed to homeless men and women in the local area. You haven’t forgotten the homeless pooches either as we’ve had plenty of goody boxes for them too.
We met with Stuart Brown who is a volunteer for the Shoebox Appeal when he came to collect the boxes. He has organised the whole project this year and has collected over 600 shoebox gifts. These will be distributed to local soup kitchens, YMCA hostels and directly to people living on the streets. He also said that as they get lots of donations for dogs they would share these with other charities such as Jerry Green in Blidworth.
Stuart commented “I’d like to thank all the companies based at Ransom Wood. You’ve all been really generous and we’re really appreciative of all your efforts. This will make a real difference.”
Once again, many thanks to you all from the Ransomwood Estates team.
Happy Christmas all.
