Relax and Rebalance at The Firs

We’re pleased to welcome two more new businesses to The Firs, our wellness centre here at Ransom Wood.  Jane and Helen are both passionate about massage and have advanced training aimed at getting clients out of pain and moving freely again. They are both members of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Jane Fuller is a massage therapist at Aches and Sprains and performs clinical massage which is a deep tissue massage using a combination of advanced eastern and sports massage techniques – (Amma Fusion, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Soft Tissue Release, Hot Stone Therapy and Advanced stretching techniques).  This creates a unique treatment for common pain conditions such as headaches, back problems, sciatica, herniated/slipped disc, frozen shoulder, whiplash, arthritis, fibromyalgia, injury and surgery rehabilitation.

Helen Wright, massage therapist at Rebalance Massage tailors treatments to the individuals needs to release long held restrictions within the body using a combination of techniques such as Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point therapy and Hot Stone Massage. My passion lies with Myofascial Release and Muscle Activation which aims to strip back patterns of poor function and help you reconnect brain with movement, creating balance in the body. I also offer deeply relaxing treatments Reflexology, Facial Rejuvenation Massage and Reiki.

Jane and Helen commented “We’re both looking forward to working at The Firs, apart from the beautiful setting we were attracted to the feeling of community spirit it encompasses.”

Still love to walk around. I used to live in the big house at the top of the drive, it was Oak House then and I nursed at Ransom Hospital , Byron Ward which was on the left side of Ransom Hall car park. Oak House used to be Sisters accommodation. I think the main chef lived upstairs when I lived there and just me downstairs mostly. I loved it but had to keep my kitchen door closed because of the squirrels. Loved looking down the drive out of my bedroom and lounge windows, beautiful in Autumn and when it snowed, I worked at Ransom Hospital until it closed in 1987. Wonder why Oak House was later named Ash House? Lovely dining at Forever Green in the grounds whilst I reminisce.

Absolutely spot on as regards setting up a virtual office. Really friendly and helpful reception staff, with onsite meeting rooms available if needed. Very pleased.

Brilliant place, they have all sorts of businesses there. A cafe, hypnotherapy, hypnopuncture as well many others. Worth a drive up just to see what's there. Furthermore, it's in lovely surroundings.
