Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can I move in?

This depends on the unit you want to move into. We have been known to move people in within a day on our smaller units.

What is the move in process?

After your initial viewing we send you some quotes
  1. You decide on which unit you want to go for
  2. To put a hold on the unit you pay the security bond and any internet connection charge
  3. We confirm a move in date
  4. Meanwhile you sign the license or lease and we prepare the property
  5. You pay the first months rent before the move in date
  6. On move in day – you sign for the keys and photos of the properties condition. We brief you on anything you need to know (security, heating etc)

Do you have any marketing opportunities available on site?

As part of being at Ransom Wood we will give you a free listing on our website and if you have anything to promote we will be happy to add it to our quarterly e-newsletter. We are also happy to promote our tenants on our social media sites and generally promote our tenants by referral when we can. It is in our interests for you to do well.

Do you arrange any events to meet other tenants?

We have a summer BBQ and Christmas drinks  - both are free of charge and a good opportunity to meet other tenants.

Can I bring my dog/cat/pet to work.

If you want to bring your dog to work you must inform us first but we are happy to let you do this. If your dog causes a disturbance to other tenants we will have to tell you to leave the dog at home. If you move out and the dog has caused any damage this will come out of your security bond.

Security

 

Security is taken very seriously at Ransom Wood

  • Onsite Guards

    From 6pm to 6am the site is manned by security guards keeping the site safe and secure and allowing you to operate in the comfort that you and your business are in safe hands.

  • CCTV

    As well as our guards, the park has a network of CCTV cameras and flood lighting that gives a second level of protection for our tenants.

  • INTRUDER ALARMS & REDCARE

    All our properties have intruder alarms with redcare monitoring so that if an alarm is triggered our estates team are able to react straight away. An on call phone is held by our staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week so when we are called by the monitoring station we can react and be on site within minutes.

Avoid the hustle and bustle of rush-hour by coming to work in this amazing woodland setting.

If you do choose to move here and your business grows out of the office space you have at Ransom Wood, we will work with you to accomodate your changing requirements.

Similarly, if your business needs to downsize we will source alternative accommodation on site – whether it be new or more traditional buildings on the park, so you won’t have to go through any upheaval.

    This is such a beautiful setting for an office. Lovely & peaceful and the Ransomwood team are excellent! The maintenance team are always around if needed, great internet facilities and a fabulous café onsite too. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for premises in the area.

    Still love to walk around. I used to live in the big house at the top of the drive, it was Oak House then and I nursed at Ransom Hospital , Byron Ward which was on the left side of Ransom Hall car park. Oak House used to be Sisters accommodation. I think the main chef lived upstairs when I lived there and just me downstairs mostly. I loved it but had to keep my kitchen door closed because of the squirrels. Loved looking down the drive out of my bedroom and lounge windows, beautiful in Autumn and when it snowed, I worked at Ransom Hospital until it closed in 1987. Wonder why Oak House was later named Ash House? Lovely dining at Forever Green in the grounds whilst I reminisce.

    Brilliant place, they have all sorts of businesses there. A cafe, hypnotherapy, hypnopuncture as well many others. Worth a drive up just to see what's there. Furthermore, it's in lovely surroundings.
