On the estate here at Ransom Wood we work together with local groups including the Forestry Commission and RSPB in order to look after the flora and fauna as well as the wildlife that call it home.
One of these groups is the Friends of Greenwood Community Forum who are currently looking for someone to help with Secretarial Support. Do you have approximately 6 to 8 hours per month to help this group?
The role involves liaison with Notts BAG, Notts Wildlife Trust, Sherwood Forest Trust, Forestry Commission etc as well as the Greenwood Team. Keeping up to date contact lists and records, taking notes of meetings and distribution to members. Organisation of meetings, sourcing and booking venues, arranging speakers, preparing and distributing invitations, agendas, map locations.
Basic computer literacy and understanding of e-mail with access to a computer and printer would be required. The role will also involve working alongside the Chairperson at meetings however support from all members of the committee will be given. An honorarium of £250 per annum is offered for anyone willing to take on this role.
Unfortunately if this role remains vacant the Friends of Greenwood Community Form will be forced to disband
