More about Ransom Hall

Home to one our two business centres, this property benefits from reception services. Our business centre staff will greet you and your visitors and call you to let you know they have arrived. They are also on hand to answer your phone if you are not around, to sort your mail and can be hired for PA services.  A suite of meeting rooms themed around the 5 elements at the back of the property are also available to all tenants at reasonable prices.

The property is split into a range of business units from 100 square ft to 1500. Parking is available in plenty including overflow parking and this is a real benefit compared to modern builds that don’t have enough spaces. Mansfield also benefits over Nottingham with no parking levies to pay.

This property benefits from a lift.

Energy Efficiency

With the ongoing energy crisis we have been busy at Ransom Hall and throughout the park doing everything we can to reduce our energy consumption. We built a solar farm back in 2014 that our tenants benefit from which is really coming into play now as we are able to subsidise the overall electric bill.  More recently at Ransom Hall we have been busily changing all the common area lighting to sensor activated LED and have invested over £95k in a new energy efficient heating system.

Ransom Wood

Ransom Hall  is located in Ransom Wood, a 70 acre woodland park combining office space with a restaurant, children’s nursery, well being centre, woodland walks and more.

Situated in a woodland setting yet close to transport links and local amenities, Ransom Wood’s location in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire offers a unique environment of leafy vista and wildlife from your window as you work in comfortable, high quality offices.

Unlike other parks, Ransom Wood is a park with a soul and tenants that move here soon get to know each other through various park events that are organised  by the onsite management team Ransomwood Estates. Having an estates team on your door step means you can rely on us to look after your rented property so you can get on with running your business. Quite simply you just won’t find another location like Ransom Wood.

Ransom Wood is run by family business ‘Ransomwood Estates Ltd’ which has a history of over 100 years and is a business park like no other – to find out more about why it is so special take a look at our video on the home page.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can I move in?

This depends on the unit you want to move into. We have been known to move people in within a day on our smaller units.

What is the move in process?

After your initial viewing we send you some quotes
    1. You decide on which unit you want to go for
    2. To put a hold on the unit you pay the security bond and any internet connection charge
    3. We confirm a move in date
    4. Meanwhile you sign the license or lease and we prepare the property
    5. You pay the first months rent before the move in date
    6. On move in day – you sign for the keys and photos of the properties condition. We brief you on anything you need to know (security, heating etc)

Do you have any marketing opportunities available on site?

As part of being at Ransom Wood we will give you a free listing on our website and if you have anything to promote we will be happy to add it to our quarterly e-newsletter. We are also happy to promote our tenants on our social media sites and generally promote our tenants by referral when we can. It is in our interests for you to do well.

Do you arrange any events to meet other tenants?

We have a summer BBQ and Christmas drinks  - both are free of charge and a good opportunity to meet other tenants.

Can I bring my dog/cat/pet to work.

If you want to bring your dog to work you must inform us first but we are happy to let you do this. If your dog causes a disturbance to other tenants we will have to tell you to leave the dog at home. If you move out and the dog has caused any damage this will come out of your security bond.

Still love to walk around. I used to live in the big house at the top of the drive, it was Oak House then and I nursed at Ransom Hospital , Byron Ward which was on the left side of Ransom Hall car park. Oak House used to be Sisters accommodation. I think the main chef lived upstairs when I lived there and just me downstairs mostly. I loved it but had to keep my kitchen door closed because of the squirrels. Loved looking down the drive out of my bedroom and lounge windows, beautiful in Autumn and when it snowed, I worked at Ransom Hospital until it closed in 1987. Wonder why Oak House was later named Ash House? Lovely dining at Forever Green in the grounds whilst I reminisce.
