AG Corporate Law is a boutique law firm specialising in Corporate and Commercial law covering everything from buying and selling business, mergers and acquisitions to supplier contracts and terms and conditions. AGCL started in May 2023 and has just enjoyed its first anniversary in business and at Ransom Wood Business Park. Its been a busy first year having completed over 50 deals worth over £130m. As AGCL has grown, its had to move within the business park three times!
AGCL moved into Ransom Hall at the start of May 2023 and at that time, there were only 3 employees, Adam, Deni and Harriet. AGCL were based in one of the 3-man offices at that time. Within a few months, it became clear that AGCL needed more staff and wouldn’t fit in the current office. Luckily, the offices at Birch House became available and so in July 2023, AGCL moved to a 4-man office upstairs and Sarah, its fourth employee joined them.
However, AGCL were still extremely busy and they again needed more staff. In August, their fifth employee, Jen, was recruited meaning AGCL didn’t have enough space again. Working with the Ransom Wood team, we managed to find AGCL a bigger space downstairs in Suite 2C in Birch House and its allowed them to recruit a sixth member of the team, Oreva.
Adam Gilbert, Managing Director of AGCL commented “Ransom Wood Business Park is an ideal location for us. As we have clients from all over the country, we don’t need to have office in a major town or city. Most of our work is conducted remotely with clients so we don’t actually need an office. We have a hybrid approach and work some days from home and some from the office. However, what the office does offer us is invaluable in terms of being able to communicate quickly and easily. We find being together in the office is invaluable and the facilities within the park are brilliant. Prior to having our own meeting space, we were able to book meeting rooms at Ransom Hall and within the Business Centre if we were seeing clients. It was a very painless process to organise and the team always helped accommodate us even when there were last minute client “drop ins”. We are delighted with our current office. We have plenty of space to grow and it will take us a few years now to fill it. They are bright and airy and a really pleasant space to be in. I’d highly recommend being on the park and have already spoken to some of my contacts when they have mentioned office space.”
