Waiter/ess needed for Forever Green

We are looking for a passionate Waiter/ess to join our team at Forever Green restaurant near Rainworth in Mansfield.  Forever Green is a bistro style woodland restaurant that mainly serves business customers during the week and operates as a conference and banqueting venue at all other times catering for up to 150 people.

As a Waiter/ess you will be responsible for delivering excellent service during week time lunchtime service and banqueting events such as weddings and conferencing.

This is a challenging and exciting role where you will be expected to work efficiently and professionally at all times.

Key responsibilities of the Waiter/ess will include:

  • Meeting and greeting and dealing with customers, setting up tables
  • Taking  and delivery of orders, Bar service
  • Handling cash and payments, to assist in the kitchen when required

Working hours include a mix of regular hours at lunchtimes during the week and flexible hours during events in the week and at weekends.

The ideal candidate for the position should:

  • Have minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Have good knowledge of food & beverage preparation and service
  • Be able to interact in a professional manner with guests and employees
  • Be fully competent in table service skills including banqueting, have experience of handling cash
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Have a positive can do attitude

This is a great opportunity to work in an independent family business in a fantastic environment.

  • Salary: £6.08 per hour
  • Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year

    Still love to walk around. I used to live in the big house at the top of the drive, it was Oak House then and I nursed at Ransom Hospital , Byron Ward which was on the left side of Ransom Hall car park. Oak House used to be Sisters accommodation. I think the main chef lived upstairs when I lived there and just me downstairs mostly. I loved it but had to keep my kitchen door closed because of the squirrels. Loved looking down the drive out of my bedroom and lounge windows, beautiful in Autumn and when it snowed, I worked at Ransom Hospital until it closed in 1987. Wonder why Oak House was later named Ash House? Lovely dining at Forever Green in the grounds whilst I reminisce.
