Nordic Walking is the latest revolutionary full body workout. You can work the upper body whilst you’re walking by using specially designed Nordic Walking Poles. Regular classes will be launched from Forever Green, Ransom Wood after Easter. Make the most of the Green Gym that is literally on your doorstep.
Originating in the 1930s when cross country skiers devised a way of training in the summer months using just poles, it wasn’t until the 1980s that what is now known as Nordic Walking really began.
The benefits include:

Pip Bateman is an experienced Instructor and has been Nordic Walking for 8 years. She will be launching regular weekly classes from Thursday 8th April 2015. Cost: £6 person / Poles are included. Induction Class is FREE to all Ransom Wood employees.

Students are asked to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire prior to taking part. The Induction class will teach you the first steps to Nordic Walking as you become ‘Pole Confident’. All equipment is provided for Nordic Walking. You just need to come dressed for a walk in the park.
